Almond Milk

Homemade Almond milk
You will need a blender, cheese cloth or a fine sieve
1 cup of almonds (soaked at least 8 hours)
2-4 dates (soaked at least 8 hours)
4 cups of water
Make It
Soak almonds and dates for at least 8 hours or overnight
After soaking almonds and dates, strain the water and discard all of the water used in soaking. Add almonds and dates to a blender along with 4 cups of water. Blend all ingredients until almonds have broken down to tiny pieces. This takes about 3-5 minutes.
Pour almond pulp and mixture over fine sieve; press and strain liquid through sieve. You should be left with a smooth white milk. All of the pulp should be left in the sieve or cheese cloth.
Using a glass bottle or any other bottle you have on hand (at least 1 liter) pour the almond milk into the bottle. You may need to use a strainer.
Store almond milk in fridge for up to 4-5 days.
Tips
You can also make your almond milk chocolate by adding 2-3 tsp. of cocoa powder and 2-3 extra dates to your blender. You can adjust the cocoa powder and dates to meet your favored taste buds.
You can also add 1 tsp. of vanilla to your almond milk while blending for an almond vanilla milk.
Shake your almond milk plain and chocolate to mix any date sugars before pouring into your glass.
